c) Screw the batten into the first screw position (do not screw tight)
d) Using a level, mark the position of the remaining screw holes
e) Drill & plug the remaining screw holes then secure the batten onto the wall
4. Dry Run
a) Until you place the board on the wall, you cannot access if the wall is flat around the perimeter of the board
b) Lift the board onto its final position on the wall and check to see if the frame is sitting flat on the wall (approx 2mm off the wall is OK)
5. Wet Run
a) Make sure the board is in position and sitting securely in the hanging batten
b) Gently pull the bottom frame out a little to get access to the double sided tape
c) Pull the tape off and push the board back against the wall making sure there is maximum contact between the wall and tape
Helpful Hints
A two person Installation is recommended
If fixing to Studs is not feasible, Wall Mates can be purchased from your local hardware
Wall Mates provide extra security to the wall (approximately $2 each)
