PORCELAIN WHITEBOARD

Vitreous Porcelain Enamel Whiteboards have a baked on enamel surface similar to a stove or washing machine.

Non porosity and hardness provide the best durability in whiteboard surfaces as it not only resists scratches and dents but markers don't penetrate the surface. 

These properties mean easier, more effective cleaning and longer life. Our Porcelain Whiteboards  carry a 25 year surface warranty

These are our recommendation for all day, heavy duty users and are the only recommended board surface for EDUCATION GRADE WHITEBOARDS.

COMMERCIAL WHITEBOARD

Commercial  grade. The writing surface is an acrylic material which is chemically bonded to the steel sheet

The steel sheet is lighter in gauge than porcelain steel and therefore weighs less

There is minimal marker solvent  penetration of the surface over time

With care these boards are an excellent choice for low usage, general home, and office use where board care is allocated to specific people

You should avoid low quality substandard markers, and promptly erase after use, and use fluid whiteboard cleaner regularly to maintain original performance

OTHER WHITEBOARD'S

• A painted or Melamine Board (as available from stationery shops) are cheap but will need lots of intensive cleaning throughout its life to maintain even a reasonable appearance
  
• Even if the board is religiously cleaned straight after use, markers will penetrate the surface and leave a smudged appearance over the boards surface.

• Sometimes the cheapest whiteboard available is not the best value when a full analysis is done.
  
• Painted or melamine board will require intensive ongoing cleaning to maintain smudge free through out its life to maintain even a reasonable appearance.
  
• Even if the board is religiously cleaned straight after use, markers will penetrate the surface.
  
• Commercial Acrylic surfaced whiteboards with an eight year surface guarantee will give better value
  over a period if the budget is tight.
  
• Cleaning the board straight after after use and periodically with liquid cleaner will provide excellent service.
  
• In a classroom environment where best cleaning practices cannot be enforced, Porcelain vitreous enamel surfaced
  whiteboards are the board of choice.
  
• It is more likely the classroom itself has been demolished before the boards 25 years warranty is over.
